    A federal magistrate ruled Tuesday that the Port of Astoria should extend both its sublease with Oregon LNG and its lease with the Department of State Lands for three decades, despite the Ports concerns that it might lose money if the LNG terminal doesnt happen. Ted Kulongoskis office said Wednesday it wont investigate the Ports lease with the state as anti-LNG activists had requested, even though the $38,400 annual lease price was based on an appraisal that assumed the...     A 51-year-old Long Beach woman was killed and a Vancouver man was seriously injured in a head-on crash that closed the Astoria-Megler Bridge across the Columbia River for about four hours. Oregon State Police say a vehicle driven by Kathleen Ann Brock of Long Beach was southbound on the bridge Tuesday morning at a reported high rate of speed when she tried to pass a vehicle towing a trailer.
