BLACKFOOT -- A Blackfoot man was sentenced to 28 years in prison Monday for charges stemming from an April stabbing. According to court records, Ellis Russell Skinner, 61, was sentenced to six years fixed and five years indeterminate for aggravated assault, seven years fixed with 12 years indeterminate for aggravated battery, 10 years fixed for being a persistent violator and five years fixed for using a weapon in the commission of a felony.
