    Correction: Because of incorrect information provided to the Associated Press by the Cleveland Police Department, stories that ran in the Globe recently about the discovery of corpses in the home of a sex offender erroneously reported the criminal background of Anthony Sowell. He was convicted of attempted rape, not rape, according to the Ohio prison system and Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court documents. (Boston Globe)
