According to the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Phillip Garrido was arrested for kidnapping and raping a South Lake Tahoe woman and then transporting her to Reno. Garrido was convicted on federal kidnapping charges in 1977 and sent to serve his 50 year sentence in Levenworth, Kansas. (KLAS-TV)
