Mayor hopes trees can be saved Sep 1, 2009
The city has been fighting to save at least some of the trees and hired Williams Engineering, of Rexburg, to study the levees in hope of bolstering its case that many of the trees don't need to be removed. The affected earthen levees run from a half mile south of Cheyenne to the concrete channel and then from where the concrete channel ends to just south of Sacajawea Park.
